About Sanctuary Lodge

Nestled in the Essex countryside, Sanctuary Lodge offers clients a nurturing environment to receive life-saving rehabilitation for substance and behavioural dependencies. Theirdetox and residential programmes aim to treat addiction from every angle, offering effective remedies for a client’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to recovery treatment at Sanctuary Lodge. Each client receives a tailored combination of treatments to help them sustain long-term recovery. Clients break from substance dependency through medical detox, followed by a blend of the12-Step approach,traditional psychotherapiessuch as counselling, andEastern practiceslike yoga, gong bath meditation, and acupuncture. Detox, when necessary, is completed under medical guidance.
Located in the beautiful town of Halstead, Sanctuary Lodge is within easy reach of London and local transportation links. Clients stay in 19 en-suite bedrooms and 5 shared rooms, completely refurbished and decorated to a very high standard. A dedicated chef preparesnutritious meals using fresh ingredients and local produce, with dietary accommodations made whenever possible. Clients can exercise in the well-equipped gymnasium and take refreshment breaks in the property’s gardens.
At Sanctuary Lodge, clients receive12 months of free aftercare, as well as lifelong support in their alumni programme. Sanctuary’s alumni scheme includes regular phone contact with their dedicated alumni team, monthly newsletters, an exclusive Facebook support group, and free recovery events throughout the year. These services help clients keep an open line of communication with other past residents to share achievements made and obstacles faced, and learn from each other’s experiences.
