About RehabPulse

We believe finding addiction treatment shouldn't be harder than it already is. RehabPulse provides a clear, comprehensive directory of verified facilities to help you make informed decisions.

Our Mission

Every year, approximately 48.7 million Americans experience a substance use disorder, yet fewer than 1 in 4 receive treatment (SAMHSA, 2023). The gap between needing help and finding it is often filled with confusing information, pushy marketing, and pay-to-play directories that prioritize revenue over patient outcomes.

RehabPulse exists to close that gap. We provide a free, comprehensive directory of treatment centers sourced directly from SAMHSA's official treatment locator. Our listings are not ranked by who pays the most — they're organized by location and services to help you compare options objectively.

Our editorial content follows the same principle: facts over feelings. Every article cites federal data sources (SAMHSA, NIDA, CDC) or peer-reviewed research. We don't publish clickbait, and we don't accept payment for editorial coverage.

What We Do

  • Maintain a directory of 21,568+ SAMHSA-verified treatment centers
  • Publish evidence-based recovery guides and resources
  • Provide free helpline access for personalized guidance
  • Cover all 50 states with regularly updated information

What We Don't Do

  • Accept payment to rank or promote specific facilities
  • Guarantee outcomes or promise specific results
  • Provide medical diagnoses or replace professional advice

Our Editorial Standards

Evidence-Based

Every claim is backed by SAMHSA, NIDA, CDC data, or peer-reviewed journals. No unsourced statistics.

Regularly Updated

Articles and listings are reviewed and updated to reflect current data, regulations, and treatment practices.

Transparent

We disclose our data sources, editorial process, and any potential conflicts of interest. See our editorial policy.

What Should You Know About RehabPulse?

Who operates RehabPulse?
RehabPulse is an independent treatment directory. Our facility data is sourced from SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration), a federal agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. We are not affiliated with any government agency, treatment facility, or insurance company.
Does RehabPulse accept payment from treatment centers?
No. Treatment centers cannot pay for higher placement in search results or featured listings. Our directory data comes from SAMHSA's public treatment locator database. Facility rankings are based on location and recency — not advertising revenue. Our editorial content follows the same principle: we do not publish sponsored articles.
How is the helpline phone number funded?
The helpline connects callers with treatment support services. This number may be operated by a third-party call center provider. Calls are free and confidential for the caller. This referral service model is disclosed on our site where the phone number appears. Editorial content and facility listings are not influenced by helpline partnerships.
How can I report inaccurate facility information?
If you find incorrect information in our directory — wrong address, phone number, services, or a closed facility — please report it through our contact page. We verify corrections against SAMHSA's database and update listings accordingly. Factual errors in editorial content are corrected within 24 hours of verification.
Is my information protected when I call or use the site?
Yes. We use HTTPS encryption on all pages. Our analytics platform (Umami) does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. If you call our helpline, federal law (42 CFR Part 2) provides strict confidentiality protections for substance use treatment inquiries — even stricter than standard HIPAA. See our privacy policy for full details.
