About Turnbridge

Turnbridge provides a gender-specific program to help young people suffering from substance use and co-occurring disorders. Turnbridge uses a 3-phased approach to recovery. The focus of phase 1 is an opportunity for clients to become comfortable in the new home and meet their new peers and counselors. In phase 1, clients follow a structured daily schedule that supports treatment engagement. The schedule includes life skills development, therapeutic journaling, learning, and entertainment. Weekly treatment during phase 1 includes one individual session, daily case management, group sessions, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and 12-Step meetings. Phase 2 clients receive educational, employment, and volunteer counseling. Advisors and case managers help clients explore academic and career interests. Clients in phase 2 put their life skills into practice. Lastly, phase 3 emphasizes independence as clients apply their skills and embrace sober living. Clients are actively living out what they learned and are engaged in a new sober life. During this phase, clients gain more independence and can travel to in-person class and social activities.
The residence and the facilities of the Turnbride program are located in New Haven, Connecticut. The locations for gender-specific housing range from quiet residential areas to downtown New Haven. Clients advance to different housing suited for each phase. Each home is a spacious, colonial-style residence designed to promote comfort, community, and tranquility. Recreation is an important aspect of Turnbridge, and clients can enjoy activities such as skiing and snowboarding, white water rafting, beach excursions, paintball, team sports, camping trips, and fitness. All healthy meals are provided by Turnbridge. The 28 day program is in tune with the needs of young people. They provide premium care with a highly qualified staff and gorgeous buildings. Turnbridge is a great program for young adults to recover. Turnbridge is private pay and offers no-interest financing for clients who enroll in their sober living program.
