About this facility
This coastal, lowcountry treatment center offers highly effective outpatient programs for clients in many stages of recovery. They provide accessible, at-home detox services for clients who either are participating in a more intensive level of care or as a first step in a client’s recovery journey. They also offer partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient progams (IOP), and outpatient programs. For individuals who desire to see a loved one get help and recover, Southern Sky provides professional intervention services.
Southern Sky proudly uses research-backed therapies that can help make the biggest impact in clients’ recovery. They use dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) which helps clients come to a place of acceptance, but also make the choice to change. Their use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps clients change their thoughts and beliefs about themselves and the world. Because addiction creates a fracture in the family dynamic, Southern Sky provides family therapy if desired.
Southern Sky creates conducive environments for change by offering gender-specific groups for drug and alcohol treatment. Men and women have different expectations, stigmas and societal pressures, therefore participating in separate groups can offer unique support in ways that matter.
