About Skyterra Wellness Retreat

This wellness center located in the mountains of North Carolina provides individualized attention and care for guests who are looking for a health reset. Skyterra believes that life can be overwhelming and can create burnout, so getting away to a retreat which also doubles as a healthy vacation can help reset and change their guests’ lives. Skyterra offers two programs for their guests: a wellness retreat and a weight loss retreat called LoseSmart. They also offer a virtual coaching program for guests who want to make changes from home.
The wellness retreat at Skyterra involves cultivating a resilient mindset, as that is an essential aspect of long term wellness. Guests learn to engage in joy-filled movement, listen to self-care lectures, practice meditation, receive massages and/or spa services, ground through breathwork and confide in a licensed professional therapist. For those looking to jumpstart their weight loss journey, guests can choose their preferred form of exercise. They offer functional strength training, cardio, outdoor fitness, mobility, high intensity interval training and swimming. Guests work one-on-one with a personal trainer to tailor the workouts to their specific goals. The meals at Skyterra are nutritious and can be customized for dietary restrictions of all kinds. Guests are also educated on how to eat and prepare meals that are supportive of their goals.
This intensive 4 week weight loss program can helps guests participate in sustainable weight loss. A main component of this program is the one-on-one personal coaching that happens throughout the 4 weeks. The coach is available for guided workouts and also to share emotional barriers and wins with. The Lose Smart program only has 35 participants, so guests can share the experience with a small group of like-minded people who are motivated to work towards their goals. The coach also helps create and implement a home program so that the guests can continue their weight loss journey when they go back home.
