About Safe Landing

Located in the heart of sunny Miami, Safe Landing provides addiction and mental health treatment for teens ages 13 to 17. Safe Landing is dedicated to changing the lives of teenagers and their families by helping them move forward and reach their full potential using a trauma-focused approach. Their mission is “to provide accessible, reliable, and effective behavioral health treatment options nationwide for any moment, in anyone’s recovery journey.” They accomplish this mission by combining a low client-to-staff ratio with a comprehensive program that includes evidenced-based therapies and holistic services. Teens will receive personalized care plans that are specific to their unique situation. Traditional talk therapy is combined with harm reduction therapy, self-esteem building, wellness exercises, animal-assisted therapy, relapse prevention, and career building skills. Family counseling is an important part of the healing process, and Safe Landing encourages families to participate in the program. In addition to therapy, they provide an APEX Virtual Schooling Program to avoid disrupting school work. This allows clients to continue their education in a classroom setting, regardless of their treatment program. After completing 60 days of treatment, Safe Landing guarantees an additional 60 days of treatment at no cost if the client relapses.
Safe Landing Recovery for Teens strives to provide a home-away-from-home setting. With comfortable accommodations and plenty of outdoor space, clients will have structure and support along with space for downtime. Safe Landing has a recreation room on-site full of games, a table tennis, and movies. Clients will also receive catered meals as well as unlimited snacking options. Exercise is an important part of the wellness plan and teens will have access to an on-site basketball court and soccer field for recreational use. A certified trainer will also work with the Safe Landing clients twice a week. Weekly outings are held throughout the program and can include time spent at the beach, rock climbing, airboat rides, rollerblading, fishing, and more.
