Recovery Centre at White River (RCWR) helps clients rebuild their lives with a 6-week residential programme that treats all aspects of addiction—body, thoughts, relationships, habits, and sense of purpose. Their truly multidisciplinary team works together to create a plan that makes sense for each client and where they’re at right now. Set in the Lowveld near waterfalls and the White River, the centrekeeps prices affordable without compromising quality.
No one gets handed a one-size-fits-all plan at RCWR. They take time to listen and build a recovery journey that suits each client. Their holistic approachsupports not only physical recovery but emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being. The team walks alongside clients through individual and group therapy, creative therapies like music and art, and body-based practices such as yoga and breathwork. Clients also join life skills groups, receive help with medication, and spend time practicing nature therapy in the peaceful rhythms of the Lowveld region.
RCWR offers peaceful, comfortable accommodationon the outskirts of Kruger National Park, surrounded by trees and gardens. Clients stay in private, semi-private, or community rooms—each tastefully decorated with en-suite bathrooms—with the option of a women-only living space. A volleyball court, fitness centre, and swimming pool support movement and rest. Healthy meals are prepared by a professional chef, and a luxury shuttle provides door-to-door transport from the airport for a stress-free arrival.
Before each client finishes their programme, the team helps them create anaftercare planthat feels doable. This might include referrals to professionals, ongoing therapy, support groups, or recovery communities in the client’s area. They’ll also talk about how to handle life’s challenges and continue to practice the skills learned in rehab.
