Otter House Recovery offers tools and resources for young men who are looking to get serious about living their life in sobriety. Each day, the men take part in solo and group activities/sessions that facilitate their continued efforts toward sobriety. The men attend daily 12-step meetings as they make their way through the 3 phases of recovery at the sober living home. The 3 phases include a restrictive phase, reintroduction phase and self-sufficiency phase. Each man's level of independence increases as they make their way through the phases. During the reintroduction phase, the men are able to go back to work and attend school. During the final phase, the men prepare to transition back into the real world and live a sober lifestyle.
The men are required to participate in 1-on-1 mentoring with their sponsor, take medication-assisted treatment if needed, learn to manage their money, search for a job, attend group meals and participate in family therapy. The men also get a free gym membership while in sober living to encourage healthy living and habits.
Private for-profit organization. Primary focus: substance use treatment, detoxification.
