Nelson Trust provides residential addiction treatment to men and women in Gloucestershire, England. Their abstinence-based program has been running since 1985, with four residential houses that can take up to 44 clients at a time. Nelson Trust uses a trauma-informed approach, addressing underlying trauma as well as the addiction. They use an array of therapies that include group and individual counseling, psychoeducation, art therapy, yoga, and acupuncture. Additionally, clients have the opportunity to engage in volunteer opportunities while completing their 12 or 24 week program.
