Treatment is age-based and gender-specific including evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), family therapy, group and individual therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing (MI), trauma therapy, and 12-Step facilitation. Lake Villa also addresses co-occuring mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, and trauma at the same time as substance abuse treatment.
