About Back2Basics

Back2Basics is a 6 month outdoor adventure recovery program for males ages 18-30 struggling with addiction. Back2Basics outdoor program focuses on spending time in nature where minds are cleared and bodies are physically challenged. Clients participate in wilderness adventures 3-4 times per week and will experience a variety of adventures such as mountain biking, snowboarding, surfing, rock climbing, and river rafting. Back2Basics combines adventure therapy with 12-Step facilitation. Clients will participate in 12-Step meetings, individual counseling, group therapy, life skills courses, recreational activities, nutritional/culinary classes, and community integration. A typical day starts off with morning meditation, followed by physical fitness at the gym, group therapy, hot yoga, and ends with a 12-Step meeting.
Back2Basics is located in the beautiful mountains of Flagstaff, Arizona. Clients will enjoy comfortable accommodations in a laid-back environment. Residents will also receive a local gym membership with hot yoga and Tai Chi Classes. Back2Basics provides the best possible treatment in order to sustain long-term recovery.
