Founded in 2010, Alta Mira treats clients in a historic building just minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito, California. Alta Mira offers medical detox, a family program, a 90-day comprehensive program, a 30-day core program, and life-long continuing care. Clients receive a full-person approach to addiction rehabilitation. Their highly trained staff address neurobiological, psychological, social, physical and spiritual aspects of addiction.
Alta Mira uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), experiential therapy, and trauma-focused therapies. Client's receive 2 individual therapy sessions each week, plus daily group sessions. A 4-day family program welcomes family members for intensive healing. Educational classes and holistic services focus on the body and mind. Alta Mira also hosts intensive workshops for challenges like trauma, grief, and relationships in recovery.
